A fit if you:

The HOZO Design. Co. profile (joined April 2018, Kowloon, Hong Kong, "Backer Favorite" badge) shows 10 created projects, 9 of them funded: ROLLOVA (420%), MEAZOR (914%), MEAZOR 3D (7,135%), NeoRuler (8,754%), M-Cube (4,385%), NeoRulerGO (7,643%), M-Cube 02 (10,550%), NeoBlade (20,598%), and NeoSander (70,670%). The one blemish is minor and disclosed by the platform record itself: an early version of the M-Cube campaign was canceled at 0% funded and then relaunched successfully.

HOZO's launch press release (January 20, 2026) put the pre-NeoSander cumulative record at over US$2.8 million raised from more than 16,000 backers. NeoSander alone roughly matched that cumulative total in one campaign.

We did not independently audit delivery timeliness on each prior campaign; the delivered-product claims are supported by the retail availability of prior products (MEAZOR, NeoRuler, NeoBlade and others are sold on hozodesign.com) rather than by a campaign-by-campaign fulfillment review.

Delivery and Shipping Status

Status: delivered (first batch on time; second batch disclosed and slightly past estimate).

All six reward tiers listed May 2026 estimated delivery. By HOZO's own May 29 update, 10,167 orders — most of the backer base that had completed surveys — had shipped within May. The remainder split into a ~1% remote-region group (early June) and a second batch for late survey completions (mid-June), roughly two to six weeks past the listed estimate for those backers. That slippage was disclosed in advance, attributed to survey timing rather than production problems.

Two caveats for the ledger. First, we found no update explicitly confirming completion of the second batch; the July 3 update is a community post, not a shipping report, so full-fleet delivery is inferred rather than confirmed. Second, retail sales opened June 5 while second-batch backers were still waiting — a timing overlap backers of future HOZO campaigns may want to weigh.

The creator has not gone silent post-funding: 12 updates, the latest on July 3, 2026.

Pricing Reality Check

Real tier data from the rewards page (all tiers now sold out; USD figures are the campaign's own MSRP-discount math, consistent with the HKD peg):

Two-thirds of backers took the Premium Combo. Every tier charged shipping separately after the campaign, so the pledge was not the landed cost.

The MSRP anchor did not hold. The campaign framed the base tier as 30% off a US$99 MSRP; three months after close, HOZO's own store sells the NeoSander at US$69.00 — the same price. The retail bundle is not identical to the Pro tier (head organizer versus TOGO case, among other differences), so this is an approximate rather than exact comparison, but the practical upshot stands: base-tier backers gained early access, not a price advantage. We have not priced the combo bundles at retail, so no equivalent claim is made for combo backers.

Verified Specifications

Manufacturer-published figures, cross-checked between the launch press release and HOZO's product page. These are the maker's claims; we have not bench-tested a unit.

Earlier versions of this record cited 240 minutes of continuous runtime; the manufacturer's own spec is 240 minutes of light use and about 45 minutes at full load, and the record has been corrected accordingly.

Red Flags Scan

No kill switches triggered. Observations that fall short of red flags but belong on the record:

• Nominal goal. The HK$30,000 goal (about US$3,800) is a marketing floor, not a production budget. For a creator with eight prior funded campaigns this is routine, but it means "70,670% funded" measures enthusiasm, not margin of safety.
• Post-campaign shipping charges. Standard for the category, but the true cost of backing was unknowable at pledge time.
• MSRP framing. Covered above — the claimed US$99 base MSRP lasted less than a quarter.
• Tracker discrepancies. Kicktraq and PledgeBox both undercount the final total; anyone citing this campaign should use the platform figure.

Checks we did not perform, recorded as such: bench testing or teardown of a production unit; independent verification of the 85% vibration-reduction and 0.05 mm concentricity claims; a campaign-by-campaign fulfillment audit of HOZO's prior projects; and a review of backer comments for unresolved support issues.

Bottom Line

NeoSander is what a low-risk crowdfunding campaign looks like after the fact: an experienced creator, a working prototype on camera, disclosed batch shipping that mostly hit its window, and a product now sitting in retail stock. The equally honest conclusion is that the campaign's discount framing overstated the deal — anyone who skipped the campaign can buy the same base unit today at the backer price, with none of the fulfillment wait.
