This record also carries a correction. Earlier versions of this page called Keebmon a "$4.85M" campaign. That figure was the Hong Kong dollar total mislabeled as US dollars. The verified final tally, read from the campaign page on July 27, 2026, is HK$6,632,149 — approximately US$850,000 — from 1,181 backers against a HK$50,000 goal (about 13,264% funded). Large, but not a five-million-dollar campaign.

Campaign Record

The campaign reached its HK$50,000 goal in roughly two hours per Kicktraq's tracking, and the campaign page credits ad agency Jellop with promotion. Note that Kicktraq and the PledgeBox tracker both show stale totals near HK$4.78M from about 860 backers — snapshots that lag the final Kickstarter figure, and the neighborhood of the HK$4.85M number this record once misreported as USD.

Creator Analysis

Keebmon is a first-time Kickstarter creator with no prior campaigns and no delivery history on the platform. The campaign story names three founding members — engineering, design, and marketing — with first names only; BackerGuardian has not verified any corporate registration behind the project. The account's sole campaign is this one.

Press coverage during and after the campaign was a mix of enthusiasm and doubt. NotebookCheck's February 23, 2026 report put the raise at US$804,024 at that date and noted that "multiple red flags emerge" in backer comments. A follow-up on February 26 documented backers demanding proof that the demo unit is a self-contained PC rather than a screen-and-keyboard dock, questioning eGPU add-on pricing, and alleging that PledgeBox refunds were set at 70% after add-on pledges had been taken.

The recorded brand site, keebmon.com, resolved to a Namecheap domain-parking page when we checked it on July 27, 2026 — no product, no company information.

Delivery Status

Funded, past due, and silent. As of July 27, 2026 there is no public evidence that any backer unit has shipped.

The public paper trail, from the updates feed (bodies are backer-gated; titles and dates are public):

That month passed with the project still posting production updates, and the creator has now been silent for roughly two months. The project's own status widget still reads "Pre-Production", last refreshed March 1, 2026.

The comments page (578 comment threads at our capture) shows, in the weeks before July 27, 2026:

• Repeated unanswered requests for any update, from backers including multiple Superbackers.
• Backers reporting that PledgeBox is re-requesting payment for pledges and add-ons they say they already paid — including one report the day of our capture — and reports of new balance requests for RAM and shipping fees described as already paid. The creator acknowledged a PledgeBox double-billing sync problem in a pinned exchange months earlier and said it would be corrected.
• Backers reporting failed refund attempts: one says a card chargeback was appealed by Kickstarter and denied; others report banks unresponsive or no paperwork.
• A backer-relayed claim that the creator's payment account was frozen in May 2026 pending a bank investigation. The underlying explanation apparently sits in a backers-only update; BackerGuardian has not verified it.
• Open scam accusations, including backers stating they consider the project a total loss, alongside a minority arguing the team may resume shipping if a frozen account clears.

The creator's last visible activity in the comments is a pinned quick production update from roughly late March 2026 stating production was on time under the Update #16 timeline. Despite all of the above, the campaign page still carried a "Pre-order here" link at our capture.

Technical Feasibility

The claimed platform is real silicon: AMD's Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (Strix Point) is a shipping processor, and OCuLink eGPU connectivity, DDR5 SO-DIMMs, and Kailh Choc V2 low-profile switches are established components — the basis of the 72/100 feasibility score. The harder engineering questions our scoring flagged remain unresolved in public: the 13-inch 21:9 ultrawide touch panel is an uncommon part requiring custom sourcing, thermal management of high-TDP silicon inside a keyboard chassis is nontrivial, and no manufacturing partner or factory was ever publicly named. Backers additionally demanded, and per NotebookCheck never received, conclusive proof that the demo unit was a self-contained PC.

One structural detail buyers routinely missed: the base unit ships without RAM or storage. The campaign's own rewards section instructs backers to add at least one 16GB RAM module as a paid add-on, so the HK$3,104 headline tier is not a working computer at that price.

Red Flags Scan

Who This Is For — And Who Should Pass

Nobody can back this campaign today; it closed January 16, 2026. The live decisions are narrower:

• Considering the still-advertised pre-order: do not, on current evidence. The creator has not communicated publicly in about two months, the first production batch has not verifiably shipped, and the company's own website is a parked domain.
• Existing backers: document everything now — pledge receipts, PledgeBox payment confirmations, and any new payment requests. Backer reports suggest chargeback windows are already closing and that disputes have been contested. Do not pay new PledgeBox balance requests for amounts you have already paid; the creator itself acknowledged a double-billing sync issue.
